This is the 6th-generation Yeti 1500 (SKU 37300), which goalzero.com titles "NEW Yeti 1500". The name is close to the Yeti 1500X, which Goal Zero still sells, but the two are different machines. The 1500X uses NMC cells rated for 500 cycles to 80 %; this Yeti 1500 uses LiFePO4 rated for 4,000 cycles to 80 % of original capacity at 25 °C. Both are counted to the same 80 % end point, so the counts compare directly — unlike counts from brands that stop at 70 % (how makers define cycle life). The new model also has four AC outlets against two.
The numbers that decide backup use
Goal Zero rates 2,000 W continuous and 3,600 W surge. That starts the top-freezer refrigerator (1,200 W), the 1/2 HP sump pump (2,150 W) and the 5,000 BTU window AC (1,200 W). The circular saw needs exactly 3,600 W to start, which leaves no margin.
Using the 0.85 factor explained on the methodology page, 1,505.28 Wh × 0.85 ÷ 47 W gives about 27.2 hours for the top-freezer refrigerator at its yearly-average draw, or 17.3 hours for the French-door refrigerator at 74 W.
What the maker states
The Goal Zero Power App is required, per the maker. Goal Zero's FAQ says the unit is not compatible with Yeti Link or Yeti Tank expansion, so 1,505.28 Wh is all you get. AC Fast Charge at 1,500 W reaches 80 % in 0.8 hours and full in 1.1 hours with the included cable; the low-speed setting is 750 W. Automatic Power Switching moves from grid to battery in under 15 ms. Warranty is 5 years. No noise figure is published.
